AKTINA Productions, Inc., celebrates 20 years of excellence in the arts, culture and public service radio broadcasting. As we reflect back during this auspicious occasion, we are extremely proud and honored to have earned the great respect and support of the public we serve, comprised by Greek Americans and members of the general audience. During our 20-year old vibrant presence in New York City's cultural scene, we have provided memorable live performances and programs celebrating Greek and Cypriot culture and as a media provider we sponsor the highly rated AKTINA FM on WNYE 91.5FM and AKTINA TV on WNYE Ch. 25 and on Ocean TV20.
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we promise that we will continue with greater determination to preserve our mission of bringing you our unique live performances and our popular radio and television programs. To achieve this however, we need more public support because following the severe cuts in State and City grants over the past few years, we can no longer rely on the local government to fund AKTINA FM and AKTINA TV. We have launched our Spring Fund Drive and we aim to raise $81,000 which represents our bi-annual airtime fees for both AKTINA FM and AKTINA TV. We lease from WNYE nine hours weekly for radio and one hour weekly for television.
We invite you to actively participate in our Spring Fund Drive Campaign and join today our big family of supporters and members by making any donation. All contributions are tax-deductible under 501 (c) 3 of the I.R.S.

As we celebrate this year the 20th anniversary of AKTINA Productions, Inc., and of AKTINA FM we invite you to join us for our benefit concert GREEK MUSIC JOURNEY 2013 concert highlighting Greek singing sensation Melina Aslanidou. The concert will take place on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 8pm at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, located on East 68th Street between Park & Lexington Avenues in Manhattan (see public transportation directions below).

Melina Aslanidou will be accompanied by her talented musicians featuring the exceptional soloists Andreas Karantinis, bouzouki, Manolis Androulidakis, guitar and Andreas Sikkis, percussion and a variety of fife (flute) music instruments in a performance entitled "Melina Aslanidou Unplugged".

Renowned for her exceptional vocal abilities, her dynamic interpretation of songs and her impressive stage presence, Melina Aslanidou stands out in the Greek music scene as one of the leading artists of the new generation who can perform any type of song and make it a huge success. In her upcoming performance Melina Aslanidou who is collaborating with AKTINA for the third time, will take the audience onto a very unique "Music Journey" performing very well known and loved songs with a sole purpose of engaging everyone from beginning to end. The repertoire will include great rembetika (Greek blues), Laika (popular-folk) and contemporary Greek songs which are popular to this day.
